about me
In 2002 I graduated from the University of East Anglia with a BA (Hons) in English Literature and Theatre, I then took a year out to travel around New Zealand, Australia, and Southern Africa. After my return I decided to train as a Piano Tuner & Technician.
In 2004 I began my training at the internationally acclaimed Piano School at Newark & Sherwood College. I achieved the Certificate of Classical Musical Instrument Technology (ASET, Level 3) and Diploma in Piano Tuning. After working with a Piano Restorer in Whitby and for my local Music Shop, I settled in Newark-on-Trent working as a self employed Piano Tuner & Technician throughout the East Midlands.
I have tuned at many prominent events, venues and for musicians both locally and around the world (Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe, The Netherlands, Kosovo). I work at cathedrals, churches, schools, theatres, music shops and for private individuals. In 2021 - 22 I taught Piano Tuning as part of the BA (Hons) degree course at The Newark Piano School, Lincoln College. I am a Member of The Institute of Musical Instrument Technology (IMIT), DBS certified and hold public liability insurance.
